Led screens are industrial products that are not widely known and used for commercial purposes. However, it is a product group which at attention with its features. Although the main raw materials used in their manufacture are LEDs, they have quite complex qualities compared to other product groups that use LEDs. It does not have a standardized sector. When its high costs are taken into consideration, it is a product group which needs to be considered carefully and well examined when invested.

1. Buy your Led screen consciously!

Find out exactly what your screen’s features, ask your supplier for details, compare these features with the products of other suppliers, and sign all of them with a sales contract.

2. Guarantee Term

Know for sure about the official warranty period for your product. Try to choose a firm with a certified document approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

3. Guarantee Services

Be sure to request detailed information about the services covered by the warranty and the warranty period in writing.

4. TSE Service Competence Certificate

Check that the manufacturer firm has TSE service competence certificate.  The TSE service competence certificate is evidence that the firm has at least sufficient qualities and quantities of calibrated technical equipment.

5. CE certificate

Control that the product has a CE certificate. CE is generally an indication that the product does not harm human health and other products and systems.

6. Firm information

Visit the firm. Get detailed information and examine the products that have been implemented by the firm before.

7. LED

Find out the trademarks of the LEDs used in the led display. Ask about the classification ratios of the LEDs, and sign this information with your written contract.

8. Meet with customers

Ask the firm’s previous customers for information, question whether they are satisfied with the products and what their current status is. If possible, go and see it personally.

9. LED driver chips (led driver chips)

Question about what LED driver integrations are used. Be sure to use the products of one of the specialist companies such as Toshiba, Macroblock, Texas Instruments. If you are using another company’s product, try searching for more information on the internet.

10. Connectors

All data and electrical transmission are made with cables and connectors are used for the connections. The connectors are the weakest link of the chain in the electrical and data links. Learn and investigate the connectors to be used from your supplier.

11. Product life and loss of gloss

Learn the lifespan of the product you want to purchase from manufacturer/seller . Ask for reference charts related to brightness loss. Sign them with your contract.

12. LED Screen Driving Method

The LEDs are driven by a static scan and a dynamic scan techniques. Be sure to learn what isyour Led’s driving method and how it is calculated. Keep this feature in mind when comparing prices. (the product does not mean that the fixed-flow dynamic scanning method is good or bad, it is only an important factor in price comparison)

13. Power sources

Make sure that the power sources to be used in the led screen have CE mark. Learn the safety factor. Be sure to use power supplies with power factor balancing to avoid frequent failures.

14. Optional features

Ask your supplier for features that you can purchase optionally and try to get detailed information. Sometimes you can have important features for you by paying affordable price. You may also have the advantage of not having to pay for features you will never use.

15. Control system

Be clear about what control system is used in your product, learn what alternatives are, advantages and disadvantages. Get information from different producers to compare these features.

16.General product specifications and identification

Since there are no sectoral standards, each manufacturer can introduce the same / similar features differently and display them as a new product. For this reason, be sure to get detailed information if you are comparing features. Ask the other firm about these details. Try to get clear information.

17. The right product

Be sure that you choose the product with the right features. Try to get information and ideas for the LED screen from suppliers, especially those who have invested in the LED screen and consult the people or institutions that already use it.

18. Institutionality

If you are an authorized person with responsibility for choosing the right product, or a businessman who will invest considerable amount of money on the led screen, try to choose a corporate company for led screen project. A system that does not supply spare parts and technical support can be a heavy burden to you.

19. Technical service costs

Learn warranty and non-warranty service costs and spare parts prices and sign it with a written contract.

20. Products and services included in the price

Led screen systems consist of many components. Clearly learn all the components required for the system and make an assessment based on the total cost.

21. ENERGY CONSUMPTION

Energy consumption is actually the most important parameter that you can make a clear distinction between good and bad products. Especially ask for this assessment from your supplier. Choose a product with low energy consumption. Confirm the consumption values by talking to investors who use the system.

22. Brightness

Outdoor LED

Outdoor Led Screen products should have a brightness of 5500 ~ 6000nit, indoor Led Display products should have a brightness of 1250 ~ 1750nit. Make sure that the product can be used at the brightest time of the day and at 75% brightness which you will set. Sign this with your sales contract. The decline in brightness is a fact of LED technology and after a few years, it will increase the brightness of your system automatically or manually to keep your performance stable.

23. Design

Learn about the product panel you will buy, module design, and if available, additional design features and benefits. If you have additional features that you would like to obtain as a result of your research, ask them from your supplier.

24. Control

Know how to control the product! Led screen applications usually require remote control. Get detailed information on how to do this. Presenting your demands consciously and being persuaded is important for the management of your investment.

25. Control software

Be clear about the features of the control system software provided with the LED display system. Learn what types of visuals you can play, learn about programmable features such as working hours and brightness.

26. Delivery times

A large part of the LED display production in the world is made in the Far East due to high labor costs. For this reason, delivery times are long, and shipping costs have a considerable part in product cost. That’s why it’s advantageous to start buying at the right time to get the right product at the right price at the right time.

27. Construction

At first glance it seems to be insignificant, but the construction, static calculations  should be made and designed and produced with respect to aesthetic criteria. You can request detailed information from your supplier in this regard.

28. The right product

Led display are produced in different qualifications for different applications. The LED screen systems used for advertising, sports, information, traffic, etc. are designed and produced according to the working times, environments etc. For example, while the LED screens used in traffic are running 20 hours a day, the LED screens used for advertising run 18 hours a day on average, and the LED screens used in sports halls only work during sport competitions. For this reason make sure that the product you are buying will serve your purpose exactly.

29. Screen sizes and resolution

Invest in a product with the right dimensions and resolution. How closely the screen can be seen is related to the resolution of the screen, while how far the screen can be seen is related to the size of the screen.

30. Official permissions

Never invest in a led screen unless you have all the necessary official permissions in writing. In this regard, you can obtain detailed information from municipalities, your suppliers and investors.
